Adolphe Marty (1865-1942), a student of César Franck, was the first blind student to compete with sighted students at the Paris Conservatory. His compositions are mostly a result of his long career as organiste titulaire at Saint-François-Xavier in Paris. Marie-Thérèse Jehan plays on the restored 1896 Cavaillé-Coll organ in Saint-Sever.
