 François Lombard plays the many ravishing voices of the 1855 Cavaillé-Coll 4-69 at Notre-Dame des Miracles Cathedral in Saint-Omer, France, restored to its 1855 state in 1988. The timbre and character of each stop glisten, including an early celeste and angelic vox, piquant Cornet, telling reeds in abundance, clear principals and enormous plenum, with the fine acoustics providing a rapturous glow to the sound.
