  The Bamboo Organ Beginning in 1816 in the church at Las Piñas in the Phillipine Islands, Father Deigo Cera built his second and only extant pipe organ with pipes made of bamboo. Restored in 1975, the organ is played in this CD by the Swiss organist Albert Bolliger in a fitting program of Iberian works of the 16th through 18th centuries by Ximenez, Cabanilles, Pedro de San Lorenzo, Cabezón, Correa, Agulera, Diego da Conceicão, Bruna, Casanovas, Anglés, José da Madre de Deus, Seixas, López, and Guerau.
