Carillon and Organ At each of the more than 50 graduation ceremonies held each year at the University of Sydney, the War Memorial Carillon and the Great Hall Organ (1972 Rudolf von Beckerath) are an integral part of the festivities. University Carillonist Jill Forrest and University Organist Amy Johansen have recorded some of the works typically performed in the graduates' honor. Gaudeamus Igitur is traditionally the first piece heard following the ceremony. It is played here (along with a magnificent arrangement of Louis Vierne's Carillon of Westminster Fugue) on carillon and organ together.
BONUS! Also included is an 8-minute mpeg video which features scenery from the university as well as a "behind the scenes" look at the organ and the carillon. This video is playable on a Mac or PC equipped with a CD-Rom drive and Quicktime or Windows Media Player.
