Christmas Songs with Orphei Drängar
Formed in 1853, the choir Orphei Drängar has constantly striven to discover and develop new directions for the male-voice choir, while not neglecting its splendid traditions. This group of almost eighty singers is conducted by Cecilia Rydinger Alin. This recording was done at Uppsala University Hall where the group regularly performs.

Christmas at Trinity Wall Street -- 911 Fund Benefit
The choir at Trinity Church, Wall Street, led by Owen Burdick offers Christmas gems in the church that welcomed the New World debut of both Messiah and Silent Night. The Naxos firm, producer of this CD, pledges their proceeds from sales to the September 11 Fund as administered by the United Way.

This recording was made in February 2001 before the events of September 11 and while the Aeolian-Skinner organ was still in place in Trinity Church, well before the organ was removed and replaced by an electronic instrument.
