Commissioned by Duke University Chapel for a recital on 2 June 2002 celebrating the 70th anniversary of the famous 1932 Aeolian organ there, saved from destruction by members of OHS some years ago. In 3 movements, the first is based on Aus tiefer not and is marked “Dark and searching;” the second, Shalom (Peace), is marked "serene and unhurried;" and the third is on Laudate Dominum (O Praise the Lord) marked “Exuberant, with great energy.” The work pays tribute to Americans following 9/11/01.
