David Briggs plays the famous 3-70 organ of Gloucester Cathedral designed by Ralph Downes and completed in 1971 by Hill, Norman & Beard with some pipes and parts dating from the 17th century. The electic program played by Briggs, the cathedral’s music director since 1994, includes his reconstruction of Cochereau’s improvised Bolero.
