Organist Jan van de Laar performs works by Johann Sebastian Bach and five of Bach's students, including his two eldest sons, Wilhelm Friedemann and Carl Philipp Emanuel. Van de Laar plays the 1798 Holzhey organ at the Abbey Church in Neresheim, Germany. Despite numerous updates and modernizations to the instrument (including changing the tuning), the instrument now sounds as it did in 1798, thanks to restorations in 1970 and 1979.
