Great European Organs No. 66

Graham Barber plays the Organ of Ripon Cathedral
Symphonic Organ Music from the Edwardian Era

Just when one thought that every corner of the repertoire had been exhausted, interesting but neglected (misplaced?) gems appear, in this case of the very positive Edwardian era. Ripon Cathedral’s organ, built by T. C. Lewis in 1878 and rebuilt 1912-26 by Harrison and Harrison, is ideal to render this music. The 1996 additions, bringing the organ to 66 ranks, include the horizontal Solo Orchestral Trumpet.
