Cochereau’s Composed Works
François Lombard plays the Symphonie and Pierre Pincemaille plays the other works on this CD devoted entirely to the composed works of Pierre Cochereau, the late titular organist of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. They play the 72-stop organ completed in 1997 at St. Vincent Church in Roquevaire, France by organbuilder Daniel Birouste, incorporating Cochereau’s house organ. The 9-minute Paraphrase includes a choir and string orchestra directed by Jean-Marc Cochereau.
