The Artistry of Frederick Swann

Opened in 1928 by Pietro Yon, the Casavant organ in the Memorial of the University of Redlands, California was installed in 1927 to the design of Stephen Stoot, Professor Charles Howard Marsh and Marcel Dupré. In 2001 the organ was removed to the Casavant factory for renovation, cleaning and the reversal of several tonal changes made after 1927. The organ continues to serve in ensemble with choirs and orchestras, in recitals, and also as the university’s primary teaching instrument.

Since 2007, Frederick Swann has been the University Organist and Artist Teacher of Organ.
