Drawing from traditional and popular French melodies that celebrate Christmas, Alexandre Guilmant explores the tonal resources of the 19th-century French organ in his Opus 60. Agnes Armstrong recorded the complete op. 60 in 1997 the new organ of Swedish builders Åkerman & Lund in the Kallio Church in Helsinki, Finland. Of 48 stops, the organ designed by consultant Kurt Lueders and completed in 1995 is in French Romantic style and employs Barker levers.
