Jean-Pierre Leguay is a titular organist at Notre-Dame, Paris, and professor at the Dijon conservatory. His written music, like his improvisations, incorporates daring components of the contemporary with classic forms and harmonies. It is music written by a performing artist who knows the acoustical potential of his instrument. Pascale Rouet performs in the presence of the composer, who improvised at the end of the recording session on the 1995 Kuhn 5-101 in the church of Saint-François in Lausanne.
