Herbert Buffington, talented organist of Peachtree Christian Church(Disciples) of Atlanta, Georgia, visits the new organ by the A. E. Schlueter Pipe Organ Company in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Atlanta. In a resonant acoustic, the new organ has 44 ranks on 3 manuals and pedal, with preparations for another division and several other stops.
Herbert Buffington is formerly a student of Donald Sutherland, Peter Planyavsky and Gerre Hancock, among others. He is a well-recognized improvisateur and winner of the 2008 Audience Award in the National Competition in Organ Improvisation of the AGO.
