LIMITED QUANTITIES AVAILABLE!Julius Reubke died in 1858 at the age of 24. He was both admired and mourned by his teacher Franz Liszt. Reubke’s Sonata on the 94th Psalm is well known to organists, but his few other works, including the Sonata in B-flat minor for piano and the other, small works heard on this recording are often overlooked. With such beginnings, the output of this young romantic might well have been a large part of his era if he had lived. John Owings performs the piano works here and organist H. Joseph Butler plays the two organ works on the 1996 Casavant of 5 manuals and more than 150 stops at Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. John Owings, Piano Scherzo Mazurka Sonata in B-flat minor H. Joseph Butler, Organ Trio in E-flat Sonata on the 94th Psalm
