The great French organbuilder Daniel Kern of Strasbourg completed a new organ for the resonant Church of Saint-Pothin in Lyon in 2004 with three manuals and about 50 ranks of pipes. The design is based on symphonic organs of the 19th-century and the organ includes two Barker levers. Loïc Mallié, organist of the church, improvises symphonic movements.
