Mozart’s Gran Partita, written for wind ensemble, reflects the great popularity of wind music in his time and shows the composer’s interest in the evolving instrument technology of the period. On this recording Vincent Genvrin transcribes the set of seven pieces for organ and performs his transcription on the François Henri Clicquot organ in the Church of Saint Nicolas des Champs, Paris. In the Adagio movement, he is assisted by Yoann Tardivel Erchoff.
