Product Description
Charles Callahan and Lorenz Maycher play on this recording to document the sound of the 1903 Hutchings-Votey 4-69 organ in the First Church of Christ, Scientist, New York City. The organ is heard essentially as originally built, with minor additions having been made in 1930 by Hook & Hastings. Also included are songs performed by Gwendolyn Jones with Lorenz Maycher and Tana Bawden as accompanists. Ms. Bawden also performs several solo piano works.
