Guy Bovet tours seven very old Mexican organs, some restored and some not, and some recorded in compromised conditions. Bovet’s elegant playing prevails throughout. The organs: ca. 1650 Positiv at San Geronimo Museum; very old Positive at the church of San Miguelito in Tlaxcala; ca. 1750 organ at Magdalena Tlatelulco in Tlaxcala; 1866 organ by Francisco & Fermin Orriza at the Cathedral of San Luis Potosi; 1850 Castro organ at Santa Maria Axotla del Rio in Tlaxcala; pre-1850 Castro organ at the Franciscan Cathedral in Tlaxcala; and ca. 1800 Castro in the Basilica of Ocotlán, near Tlaxcala.
