At the Wurlitzer in Denver’s Paramount Theater Ken Double and Bob Castle, Resident Organist for more than 40 years, play a fine program. The organ, never moved since installation, is the 1930 Wurlitzer Publix 1, a four manual, 20 rank instrument with a slave console. The nicely done CD booklet notes the few changes since the organ’s installation. This is the first commercial recording of this organ. Ken Double: Coquette, Blame It On My Youth, Ol’ Man River, Do Nothin’ Til You Hear From Me, Satin Doll, Sophisticated Lady, It’s My Party, Meditation, So What’s New, Breakin’ Up Is Hard To Do, I Only Want To Be With You, Man Of La Mancha, Dulcinea, The Impossible Dream, Sunny/You Are The Sunshine Of My Life, To The Land Of My Own Romance Bob Castle: Jean, Don’t Sleep In The Subway, What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life
