The Complete Recording of Don Baker’s Closing Concert

September 27, 1964 was the last organ concert to take place at the Paramount, New York before the theatre was closed. A previous CD offered part of the program and occasioned the surfacing of an unknown complete concert tape that is the basis of this recording. The theatre is long since closed and the “acre of seats in a place of splendor” is gone, but this recording will help to preserve memories of one of the largest organs built by Wurlitzer.
