Philippe Lefèbvre Improvises on Aeolian-Skinner 4m

Philippe Lefèbvre improvises on the 1954 Aeolian-Skinner op. 1258, a 4m organ built with chests and some pipes of the 1928 Reuter organ previously in the church, and rebuilt and enlarged in 2003 to 81 ranks by Dan Garland of Fort Worth. Philippe Lefebvre was named in 1985 as one of three titular organists at Notre-Dame, Paris. He had been titular organist at Chartres Cathedral since 1976, having won the Chartres improvisation competition in 1973.
