Pierre de Manchicourt (c. 1510-1564), a native of Flanders and choir director at several French cathedrals, became music director of the court chapel of Philip II of Spain in 1559. His choral works were widely published and appreciated in his lifetime, and thus survive. The exquisite singing of these beautiful a cappella works by the professional Choir of the Church of the Advent, Boston, Edith Ho, director, is wonderfully captured by recording engineer Ed Kelly and is produced on an SACD-Hybrid CD which plays in conventional stereo on CD players, and in 5-channel Surround Sound on SACD players.Missa Non conturbetur cor vestrumFive Motets: Non conturbeturRegina coeliJubilate DeoEgo sum panis vivusVidi Speciosam
