Falcinelli plays Falcinelli Hear French organist Rolande Falcinelli play works which she composed and dedicated to organ students at the Paris Conservatory. This 1984 recording was performed on the three-manual Beuchet Grand-Orgue at the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre d'Angoulême. The ten variations in Esquisses Symphoniques were composed for the ten students of the Paris Conservatory class of 1970-71. The Miniatures Persanes are based on "fairly varied spiritual states within the ancient, traditional thinking of Iran," says the composer in the CD leaflet. Each of these miniatures is dedicated to a student in the 1973-74 class at the Paris Conservatory. The Prophétie was originally composed from Falcinelli's emotional reaction to an earthquake in Agadir in 1959, and later was dedicated to a student in the conservatory.
