St John's Magnificat

The world-famous Choir of St John's College, Cambridge, (under the direction of Andrew Nethsingha), performs choral works of Herbert Howells, who served as acting organist at St John's during World War II. These years, late in life, were particularly important for his composition of sacred music. The Choir is accompanied by Senior Organ Scholar Timothy Ravalde, and joined for one track by baritone Paul Whelan, violinist David Adams, and cellist Alice Neary.
