In a creative program of crowd-pleasing yet often unfamiliar works by several well-known composers, Willibald Guggenmos plays the great 1890 William Hill organ -- the largest extant and intact English organ and one of only two in the world with full-length 64' ranks. The American Rhapsody by Pietro Yon was commissioned for an organists' convention held in Philadelphia while Yon was organist of St. Patrick's, New York, and includes many American tunes, including "Maryland, My Maryland," "The Star-Spangled Banner,"Deep River," and "Dixie." Rawsthorne's "Hornpipe" is hilarious.
