Frederick Hohman introduces us to the 1863 E. F. Walcker / 1947 Aeolian-Skinner organ at the Methuen Memorial Music Hall in Methuen, Massachusetts, where this famous organ was moved from Boston’s Music Hall at the turn-of-the-century to a spectacular building designed for it by famed architect Henry Vaughan. Once owned by Ernest Skinner, the organ was rebuilt by Aeolian-Skinner in 1947. Hohman plays deGrigny, Mulet, Rachmaninoff and Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries.
