Windows - Okna - Fenster A window by any other name . . . Taking its title from Eben’s famous work for trumpet and organ (inspired by 12 stained-glass windows of Marc Chagall’s creation), this CD explores other riches composed in the 20th century for this favorite combination of instruments. The little-known Karg-Elert piece is worth the price of admission (and there is more organ than trumpet in this work, perhaps explaining its obscurity)! Great sound and interesting music. Martin Sander plays the very well matched 1983 Sandtner organ in the Münster at Villingen, Germany.
